Q: I saw the IR Receiver that is
come with my new purchased HTPC chassis, what is that for,
and how can I use it?
A:
Media Center PC and HTPC are built for 10 feet
environment, so we provide a built-in IR receiver that is designed
for NMK 3630 Wireless keyboard and our HTPC Suite package.
Here are some of the set up that you may
consider by purchasing the HTPC 100:
If you
are using Microsoft MCE, it comes with a PC remote, connect it
with the back panel USB port. Buy our stand alone Wireless
Keyboard with Mouse Pad (MCE Compatible), put in the batteries,
(4 AA) you can use it right away by pointing at the front of the
system. (IR Receiver)
If you
are not upgrading your system to MCE, you can purchase our HTPC
Suite that will give you the Wireless PC Remote, Keyboard with
Mouse Pad, Hardware Encoder TV Turner Card and the PowerCinema
media center front end software. (Support Window XP Home & Pro)
You will have the best alternative solution in great discount
price.
If you
are using the third party front end, you still need a wireless
keyboard with mouse pad anyway
Note: Microsoft finally push the
wireless keyboard out recently, if you are looking for an affordable
alternative, NMK 3630 is still a good solution to consider.
