The purpose of this AV capture module is to provide convenience to end user to capture video files from analog camcorder or VHS tape into the computer hard disk without turning the system back and forth..

Today, when people want to convert personal video file into DVD format and share with friends and families, the first step is to capture them into hard disk via TV capture card. The most use transfer methods to convert the video and audio files between the consumer electronic device to computer hard disk are IEEE 1394 and composite AV jacks, including S-Video.

By building your media center, handle video and audio files is certainly an important function. So, we provide you the AV capturing extension cable to help you easily bridge them together.

By running the AV capture extension cable to the back of the HTPC system, and connect them to your TV Capture Card AV input ports, you can connect any consumer electronic device via the front with simplicity.

Q: What is the front A/V inputs are all about?

A: The answer is about how to transfer your personal video file into the hard disk and convert them into digital format and burn to DVD disk. For example, if you use a digital camcorder, you may want to utilize the IEEE 1394 port. If for some reasons your motherboard doesn't have the 1394 input, you can use this A/V capture module to get the job done. So, connect the RCA jacks from your camcorder and connect it to the AV capture module (that connects them to your TV capture Card) you can play the files in your camcorder, at the mean time, have your TV capture card to convert the signal into digital format to your hard disk.

Q: Can I connect the extension cables to my other consumer electronic device like my VHS tape player?

A: Absolutely, it is an extension cable and input that give you convenience to connect everything on the back. No turning the system back and forth to find the port, or make your media center the real digital home hub device that will please everyone in the house.
